SAD Never got a Response From New York Botanical Garden , Please Give the Disabled Discount Tickets

The Disabled Deserve Access To Beauty and New York Resources!

Hey surprise, I have an (invisible) disability. I know many of people in my life are surprised to hear this. That's why I am writing more and more about it these days. Including my latest book--soon to be announced.

People with disabilities are here, alive and entitled to a a life with joy and opportunities. But the cost for the disabled is high and money coming in is usually very low, poverty level in fact, unless they happen to have some saved resources, which many do not.

Beauty for Pain©

One of my passions is to infuse beauty into my and other's lives to ease the pain that comes with many disabilities. I call it Beauty for Pain©.

For those who live in an urban area, going to simple natural space like a park or garden does wonders for a person in pain. But what if that place offers discounts for other populations but not the disabled? Would you feel even more pain? A lack of inclusion in enjoying the healing benefits of nature?

In search of an oasis New York Botanical Garden but shocked at what I found

Personally I could benefit from the beauty nature exhibits in the Botanical Garden. With limited funds I searched if they had any discounts. This is what i found:

I then contacted them shocked the disabled population was not included in their discount program. Where was the discount for persons with disabilities? Not there. In fact, please see what I got from the New York City's Botanical Garden Spokesperson.

I see you don't have discounts for people with disabilities, why is that? I am in my 40's but do get medicare and am disabled with financial limitations. Going to Botanical Garden would be therapeutic for my condition but I don't see you offer discounts for people like me but you do for students, seniors etc.
```
Wait, What Just happened in this Email Exchange?
I'm afraid given the choice of only one day on the grounds was not what I was looking for. I may need to be indoors depending on my current health situation and most importantly I want to enjoy the exhibit just like the students, seniors and children. What is the logical, reasonable reason for not including people with disabilities, can someone please explain?
Dear "upper management", time to make some positive change for the disabled.
Paranormal Information for the Rest of us
What would you expect research and statistics to say about what we think of the paranormal? That they believe in ghosts, haunted houses, telepathy/ESP, UFO’s, spiritual awakening, out-of-body experiences or tons of other types of experiences?
I noticed something odd while looking at the research, watching many paranormal programs, and reading books, articles and blogs. I noticed that people by far were asking , “Am I crazy” when they experience spiritual and paranormal events. What if you were cleared medically, physically and emotionally of any conditions and still experienced things you could not explain by normal means? This is what can happen during a spiritual awakening or paranormal encounter.
Would you be surprised to know that 3 out of 4 Americans believe in various types of paranormal experiences, according to a Gallup Poll? That’s a lot of people and doesn’t even include other countries. So many people are reporting paranormal experiences that it makes complete sense to really take a look at may be going on. If indeed there is paranormal phenomenon occurring then what effect does that have on the experiencer?
With the deluge of material out there including shows on the supernatural, books, blogs, psychics you would think it’s easier to get answers. Unfortunately, it can be even more overwhelming and maddening when all you want is to know what’s going on and that you really aren’t going insane. You can also feel lonely, angry, frightened and frustrated when people in your life cannot support or understand because they aren’t experiencing the same issues.
My desire is to provide information, confirmation, validation, support and resources for various spiritual, paranormal and supernatural occurrences, so that there is a relief knowing you’re not alone on journey …
Here you will find a primer of sorts exploring a variety of topics including:
·        What incidents can be classified as paranormal versus an ordinary experience?
·        What can trigger a spiritual crisis?
·        How to identify spiritual signs and synchronicities which are meant for you
·        What a near death experience is.
·        What tools you can use to gently awaken your own intuition.
·        What yoga can do as a tool for healing.
·        What steps to take for self-care during your spiritual journey.
·        What the difference is between benign supernatural experiences and frightening or dark paranormal incidents.
·        What to do and how to recognize psychic vampires versus a true healer.
·        See images of orbs or possible angelic signs.
Although I had academic background in psychology, over 24 years of experience as a crisis counselor, and general advisor, nothing could have prepared me for my own dark night of the soul and spiritual crisis. This led to a psychic opening that allowed me to not only embrace my gift as an Empath (a spiritual sensitive) but to use it all to provide information and healing to others.
The ability to incorporate traditional counseling skills, spiritual coaching, advising, broadcasting, and speaking about not only my experience but the experience of others is utilized to ensure you that there are answers out there. You will also get a bonus section on how to create your own sacred space, anywhere simply and effectively. Additionally you can access archived radio broadcasts anytime.
Those who are overwhelmed and frightened by their spiritual emergence can know that there is information, tools, support, that can allow you to embrace your spiritual journey with confidence and joy because you’re not crazy, it’s paranormal!
Acclaim for “You’re Not Crazy, It’s Paranormal!”
“The spiritual search begins when life and the world as you once knew it transforms into something other, something often unexplainable and incomprehensible.   This book will introduce you to ancient thoughts and concepts to help guide you on your way.  Trust the journey.”
~Bruce Joel Rubin
Screenwriter, GHOST, JACOB’S LADDER, MY LIFE, 1991 Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. Screenplay for the 1990 psychological thriller Jacob's Ladder.
“Diana Navarro’s new book ‘You’re not Crazy, It’s Paranormal!’ is a must read for anyone bold enough to embrace his or her own spirituality.  For those who experiences massive doses of the sixth sense the question really is, ‘How do you know you are not going crazy?’
Diana Navarro does a wonderful job of explaining how one’s spiritual awakening is indeed a natural process and how it can be exciting, beguiling, and at time unsettling.  As Diana correctly points out, those of us who take that courageous step toward embracing enhanced sixth sense sensitivity are not mentally imbalanced.  The spiritual journey is not an easy one, yet is rewarding beyond measure. This book is for anyone open minded enough to realize that there is more to a person then what meets the eye. And, it is for those who realize that healing is a gift from God which is sent to us in many beautiful forms.”
~Mark Anthony the Psychic Lawyer®
Author of Evidence of Eternity
and Never Letting Go
"[Diana Navarro is] full of energy and ideas – and have a lot to offer to others…Very few people show [this] kind of initiative and intelligence."
~Kenneth Roman former CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, Author of The King of Madison Avenue: David Ogilvy, The Making of Modern Advertising, and Writing That Works, Second Edition
"A spiritual soul, performer and writer, Diana Navarro approaches the still-somewhat "taboo" topic of the paranormal with insight, thoughtfulness and wit. She adds a slice of humor to a world that many feel is forbidden. She makes those of us who harbor a sixth or seventh sense feel as though we're part of the norm, not outcast. Blending the practical with the ethereal, she also suggests techniques to enhance and expand ones spiritual skills.
From the historical to the philosophical, “You're Not Crazy, It’s Paranormal!” will make you feel like a Kid with a balloon , simultaneously floating on air and skipping on the ground. Like most things the general population has not yet accepted, the paranormal is in that limbo category of " not yet accepted"-- Diana is doing her utmost to lasso in the paranormal back into the corral of acceptance and warm heartedness.
“There are 8 million real-life stories in the naked city, some involving the paranormal and things that defy conventional explanations—and native New Yorker Diana Navarro, drawing on her own experiences, brings a decidedly urban perspective to the subject of the paranormal in the intriguing ‘You’re Not Crazy! It’s Paranormal!?’”
Took my Own Advice About Healing Heartbreak Excerpt from Book
The following is an excerpt from Heartbreak: Know Why and Heal
The Power of Ritual in Healing Heartbreak
Ritual is the key to healing here. Let me explain what I mean by “ritual”. In this case it is engaging in healing activities with consistency and regularity. This is key and crucial. This bears repeating. In order to break old patterns and habits, it is required that we engage in ongoing, conscious repetition of healthy, new, simple, doable habits to replace the old ones. Like anything new, there are times we cannot sustain the consistency. This can be very discouraging. But guess what? You can jump back in at any time you wish and as little or much as you want. None of this is a straight line strategy. It is trial and error, back and forth, climbing back on the horse kinda healing. It will work; time and practice is all you need. That’s why I provide different tools and strategies. One or more is bound to bring relief. You will see techniques including mantras, which are very powerful, prayers, a releasing ceremony, physical movements, meditations, and cleansings.
Choose a technique. Try not to do them all at once, because it can be overwhelming and you are already in pain. Once you choose one, try it for some time. Give yourself reminders at first. Try any of these techniques or come up with your own:
Voice recordings on phone or mobile device
Good old fashion sticky notes (physical ones as well as electronic ones)
Self texts/emails to self
On white boards at home or private space or use a private in public boards
Use these excellent apps like Evernote, Coach.me, or Moodpanda to help you keep track of it all
Make this a priority because no one is more important than you. If you have loved ones you put first, I understand, but you can’t care for them if you are not in good health and have self love (I will say over and over again). Once you have tried one of the techniques, you can move on to another one. There is no set order. Use one which resonates with you at a given time and try it until you feel relief. Results differ from person to person, hence I would suggest you try each one for at least two weeks before moving on to another one.
Before choosing a technique, do the super basics which are listed below. They are simple, but so very important. Use whichever reminder style works for you to do these self-healing moves.
Sip water throughout the day Sometimes gulping it is too much and not necessary to stay hydrated. Drink as much as your body specifically requires. You can drink as much as you need by sipping throughout the day. If you are worried about going to the restroom too much, remember this is small issue compared to the benefit of being hydrated.
Breathe consciously Breathing is one of those amazing automatic things our bodies do to keep us alive, But the magic lies in that you can also use your mind to breathe consciously. The frequency, depth and quality of breath can be controlled by us. Remember to breathe, deeply, mindfully.
Check your posture It’s amazing how our body shows our distress by literally shrinking when we slouch, or curve our backs, go to fetal position etc. as a self protection mechanism. However, this inadvertently prevents chi, prana life-source energy from circulating fully within our body more on this on the yoga , chakra center. For those who love gadgets, try this device http://www.lumobodytech.com/, if you wish to try something new.
Grounding You hear about grounding all the time regarding meditation, yoga and other modalities. But what does it really mean? Like many of these practices there are various ways of grounding ranging from simple to quite complex. For purposes of simplicity and efficiency I include here the basics and simplest forms. I leave it up to you to find more advanced methods should you need or want them. Grounding takes us back to our basic connection to our physical being, since we are here on earth right now. We are ruled by gravity a most amazing and mysterious force. Wherever you may be on the planet, creating an awareness of where you are and what is underneath you is the first step. Digging our feet into the ground, feel the wonderful pull of our planet that keeps us from floating away.
We can’t always go to a forest to connect with the earth, so sometimes we have to improvise. I had to since I lived in the middle of a super populated, metal city. So simply sitting on the floor on a yoga mat, pillow, rug, or whatever is comfortable and doing some basic moves, like stretches, easy yoga poses and simple sitting and feeling the floor beneath me does wonders. Even touching sinks knowing the pipes go down into the earth can help you feel grounded, as odd as it may sound.
Centering The process of centering is similar to grounding. Some use it interchangeably so, but there are differences. In centering, you are centering with yourself. You are centering your body, your mind, thoughts and spirit. Where is this mysterious center? It’s your spinal cord and its corresponding energy centers. Your physical brain and spinal cord is where you take your thoughts and energy. Your etheric energy is all around and within you but your center is the core. The best way to do this is conscious breathing and envisioning your main chakra centers, as described in the next chapter of the book you can get on Amazon.
