You're Not Crazy, It's Paranormal

By: Diana Navarro M.S.

What would you expect research and statistics to say about what we think of the paranormal? That they believe in ghosts, haunted houses, telepathy/ESP, UFO’s, spiritual awakening, out-of-body experiences or tons of other types of experiences? Yes those are the questions most polls and questionnaires ask. But do you know what people actually want to share? It is that they aren’t crazy, that they really ARE experiencing paranormal events!

What would you expect research and statistics to say about what we think of the paranormal? That they believe in ghosts, haunted houses, telepathy/ESP, UFO's, spiritual awakening, out-of-body experiences or tons of other types of experiences? Yes those are the questions most polls and questionnaires ask. But do you know what people actually want to share? It is that they aren't crazy, that they really ARE experiencing paranormal events!

Notice while watching many paranormal programs, and reading books, hearing broadcasts, articles and blogs that people by far are asking, "Am I crazy?" when they experience spiritual and paranormal events. What if you were cleared medically, physically and emotionally of any conditions and still experienced things you could not explain by normal means? This is what can happen during a spiritual awakening or paranormal encounter.

My desire is to provide information, confirmation, validation, support and resources for various spiritual, paranormal and supernatural occurrences, so that there is a relief knowing you're not alone on journey.

Here you will find a primer of sorts exploring a variety of topics including:
•What incidents can be classified as paranormal versus an ordinary experience?
•What can trigger a spiritual crisis
•How to identify spiritual signs and synchronicities which are meant for you
•What a near death experience is
•What tools you can use to gently awaken your own intuition
•What yoga can do as a tool for healing.
•What steps to take for self-care during your spiritual journey
•What the difference is between benign supernatural experiences and frightening or dark paranormal incidents
•What to do and how to recognize psychic vampires versus a true healer
•See images of orbs or possible angelic signs

Those who are overwhelmed and frightened by their spiritual emergence can know that there is information, tools, support, that can allow you to embrace your spiritual journey with confidence and joy because you're not crazy, it's paranormal!

Magnesium helps my HEART Palpitations!

Be Still my Palpitating Heart!

As an empath, I have a few health issues I have learned to recognize and take action to manage. One of them is my heart. Physically, and emotionally I take and feel other people and animal's feelings. That's what an empath is. Sometimes I absorb so much energy from my environment that my health gets adversely affected.

It took years to learn healthy boundaries I am still putting into practice, but the biggest lesson I learned, is to take care of myself so I can healthfully help others.

Recently a sequence of events, including having to separate from people who were much too toxic for me, many of my work items broke including my computer, and most importantly feeling the pain that is happening to our planet, animal and people, caused my heart to feel it emotionally and physically.
Doctor's Best High Absorption Magnesium Glycinate Lysinate, 100% Chelated, Non-GMO, Vegan, Gluten Free, Soy Free, 100 mg, 240 Tablets (packaging may vary)

My palpitations came back with a vengeance as did a sharp pain where my murmur developed in my early thirties. The palpitations get really bad when I lie down and try to rest. If feels like my heart is in my throat and it will turn into a heart attack.

I had a choice, take some prescribed medication that barely works but sedates me, and I don't need that, or back to what has worked before, namely taking Magnesium. Yes, magnesium sedates me too but in a healthy way and I take it before bed. The supplement you choose is up to you. I purchase Doctor's Best from Amazon because I can subscribe and get them sent automatically, it's vegan and high absorption.

Huge Plls

I got a huge ole bottle, and take 1 a day along with meditation, quiet time, journaling until the storm passes. Which it always does. My only complaint is, why are the tablets so darn BIG!!! OK, that's a "small" price to pay for my heart easing down...and I go back to work.

I would love to know if this works for other people. Does it help your palpitations? Do you feel relaxed? Is there a preferred, very effective brand?

Self-Care IS...WHAT?

What is Self-Care Exactly?

There is a lot out there about what Self-Care is. Yet no one seems to really know. Certain industries are taking advantage of this and using it to market certain products like the beauty industry, or medical devices services, even the anti self-care movement that believe you should stay within the confines of the status quo.

Self-care is exactly that, caring for your "self". Your body, your mind, and your spirit. They are all connected. You care for one it flows over to other parts of our--selves.

So why the confusion or debate about what self-care is?

We have been conditioned to believe that caring for yourself is inherently wrong, selfish, bad and worst of all, unimportant. This is incorrect. Every living creature must care for themselves, otherwise we are unable to effectively do anything worth doing in life including caring for others.

Don't fall for the I DON'T HAVE TIME myth.  You can make the time. Who's the boss of you? Something or someone else? Take your power back. Start small, but take it back and stop making excuses.

Don't fall for the I CAN'T AFFORD IT myth. Self-care is so wide-ranging the some of the most basic forms are free and fundamental. Conscious breathing, watching your posture, scheduling your time, hygiene, etc.

Don't fall for the I DON'T NEED IT myth. We all need it or we'd wither away. Once we find the value in ourselves, everything falls into place.

Don't fall for the IT'S FOR WOMEN ONLY (OR MEN ONLY) myth. Self-care is for everyone. We all need it to nourish ourselves in various ways. This ranges from what we eat, to how we sleep, or who we spend time with oh and so much more.

The best part about self-care is the use of our creativity to find ways of doing it. And yes, there are self-care routines that are luxurious. That's okay, in fact, that's fantastic. there are choices and that's why we are here to exercise our free will and make choices.

The myths go on, so let's dispel them and work on what is true...

Took my Own Advice About Healing Heartbreak Excerpt from Book

The following is an excerpt from Heartbreak: Know Why and Heal

The Power of Ritual in Healing Heartbreak

Ritual is the key to healing here. Let me explain what I mean by “ritual”. In this case it is engaging in healing activities with consistency and regularity. This is key and crucial. This bears repeating. In order to break old patterns and habits, it is required that we engage in ongoing, conscious repetition of healthy, new, simple, doable habits to replace the old ones. Like anything new, there are times we cannot sustain the consistency. This can be very discouraging. But guess what? You can jump back in at any time you wish and as little or much as you want. None of this is a straight line strategy. It is trial and error, back and forth, climbing back on the horse kinda healing. It will work; time and practice is all you need. That’s why I provide different tools and strategies. One or more is bound to bring relief. You will see techniques including mantras, which are very powerful, prayers, a releasing ceremony, physical movements, meditations, and cleansings.

Choose a technique. Try not to do them all at once, because it can be overwhelming and you are already in pain. Once you choose one, try it for some time. Give yourself reminders at first. Try any of these techniques or come up with your own:

Voice recordings on phone or mobile device
Good old fashion sticky notes (physical ones as well as electronic ones)
Self texts/emails to self
On white boards at home or private space or use a private in public boards
Use these excellent apps like Evernote, Coach.me, or Moodpanda to help you keep track of it all

Make this a priority because no one is more important than you. If you have loved ones you put first, I understand, but you can’t care for them if you are not in good health and have self love (I will say over and over again). Once you have tried one of the techniques, you can move on to another one. There is no set order. Use one which resonates with you at a given time and try it until you feel relief. Results differ from person to person, hence I would suggest you try each one for at least two weeks before moving on to another one.

Before choosing a technique, do the super basics which are listed below. They are simple, but so very important. Use whichever reminder style works for you to do these self-healing moves.
Sip water throughout the day Sometimes gulping it is too much and not necessary to stay hydrated. Drink as much as your body specifically requires. You can drink as much as you need by sipping throughout the day. If you are worried about going to the restroom too much, remember this is small issue compared to the benefit of being hydrated.

Breathe consciously Breathing is one of those amazing automatic things our bodies do to keep us alive, But the magic lies in that you can also use your mind to breathe consciously. The frequency, depth and quality of breath can be controlled by us. Remember to breathe, deeply, mindfully.

Check your posture It’s amazing how our body shows our distress by literally shrinking when we slouch, or curve our backs, go to fetal position etc. as a self protection mechanism. However, this inadvertently prevents chi, prana life-source energy from circulating fully within our body more on this on the yoga , chakra center. For those who love gadgets, try this device http://www.lumobodytech.com/, if you wish to try something new.

Grounding You hear about grounding all the time regarding meditation, yoga and other modalities. But what does it really mean? Like many of these practices there are various ways of grounding ranging from simple to quite complex. For purposes of simplicity and efficiency I include here the basics and simplest forms. I leave it up to you to find more advanced methods should you need or want them. Grounding takes us back to our basic connection to our physical being, since we are here on earth right now. We are ruled by gravity a most amazing and mysterious force. Wherever you may be on the planet, creating an awareness of where you are and what is underneath you is the first step. Digging our feet into the ground, feel the wonderful pull of our planet that keeps us from floating away.

We can’t always go to a forest to connect with the earth, so sometimes we have to improvise. I had to since I lived in the middle of a super populated, metal city. So simply sitting on the floor on a yoga mat, pillow, rug, or whatever is comfortable and doing some basic moves, like stretches, easy yoga poses and simple sitting and feeling the floor beneath me does wonders. Even touching sinks knowing the pipes go down into the earth can help you feel grounded, as odd as it may sound.

Centering The process of centering is similar to grounding. Some use it interchangeably so, but there are differences. In centering, you are centering with yourself. You are centering your body, your mind, thoughts and spirit. Where is this mysterious center? It’s your spinal cord and its corresponding energy centers. Your physical brain and spinal cord is where you take your thoughts and energy. Your etheric energy is all around and within you but your center is the core. The best way to do this is conscious breathing and envisioning your main chakra centers, as described in the next chapter of the book you can get on Amazon.

It takes Courage to be Seen: Excerpt from Daily OM Madisyn Taylor

~I read this article and had to share in the moment where I have decided to engage on my next life project of sharing my life story as an empath~

Letting Yourself Be Seen

BY MADISYN TAYLOR
A powerful healing tool can be allowing yourself to be witnessed by your friends, sharing your pain to a listening audience.
When we allow ourselves to be witnessed by another, we cannot help but be transformed by the experience. Whether we are sharing a personal experience, standing in front of friends to celebrate a special occasion, or expressing our unbridled joy or sorrow in front of a loved one, we are allowing ourselves to be seen and experienced in a very intimate way. Not only are we baring ourselves to someone else, but we are allowing that person to hold a very specific kind of space with us so this powerful act can take place. To be witnessed is to let ourselves be seen as we truly are in that moment.

Our friends and loved ones can easily be witnesses for us, if only we are brave enough to let them. Your next birthday may be the perfect occasion to experience this sacred act: Invite your friends and loved ones to your special day. During the celebration, stand in front of them and thank them for being there for you. Feel their gratitude, attention, warmth, and support, while noticing the sense of safety you feel as they surround you. If you feel inspired, share your innermost thoughts about the day and your life. You may be surprised at the feelings of peace and validation that arise within you, when you feel safe enough to go deep into your soul and share yourself with those you trust.

Anyone who has ever seen love, admiration, acceptance, or appreciation reflected in a friend or loved one's eyes knows how transformative that experience can be. When you bare yourself to another, you are giving them the gift of you and showing them that they also matter. In letting yourself be witnessed, you are letting others into your intimate space, stepping in the sacred container they have created for you, and creating a cauldron of positive affirmation, support, love, and goodwill that will stay with you forever.

Dating: Online Ridiculousness, When Actually Dating Part 5 Final Excerpt

The following Oh No Moment Dating Posts are excerpts from Heartbreak: Know Why and Heal

When Dating Isn’t Going to Work Out

via GIPHY

Oh No Moment
Whether to date again or not
Once you meet someone you like and perhaps want to date them again, the question of who is going to call whom arises. In a male/female relationship is it traditionally the male who makes the call. Of course there are exceptions depending on cultural norms at the time. And typically, it may be the male/alpha male in same sex dating. The possible scenarios are that you either want to see each other again or decide you don’t want to date and end it right there mutually and amicably. That takes communication and finesse. If you don’t want to date them again find out the best way to communicate this. Be aware some people feel rejected even if they themselves don’t want to continue dating you. How things are said matters. On the other hand, there are others who just won’t take no for an answer and are creeps. Be aware of this too.

Oh No Moment
Don’t break up with someone via text, email or social media
The exception is if there is absolutely no other option. There are cases where the person could be a bit creepy and it may be best to distance yourself slowly and carefully. Otherwise, if you have been on a few dates, it’s best to be clear in a well-mannered way that you will no longer be dating. Don’t be hurtful or abusive, it just isn’t necessary. Sometimes people just don’t click and you both have to be able to handle that once you engage in the dating scene.

Oh No Moment
The person disappears after one or more dates, what happened?
There is nothing more maddening than going on a date or two or even three times and thinking you click, then the person disappears with no explanation. As you can see, if there is clear communication from the beginning, then you both can know this is just a one date event or the possibility of more dates. But for the love of love, do not keep the person hanging. On the other hand, don’t keep asking, calling, texting, emailing or looking for a person if they don’t seem interested. If they don’t respond within a reasonable time (and that depends on the circumstances and people involved), then assume the person is not interested and move on as soon as possible. If possible try to learn from it without torturing yourself with the millions of things that could have led to this ending.

There are many reasons why people don’t respond when they don’t want to date again. Some reasons will have to be with them, some with you and other reasons with the interaction you had together. This has to be understood within your specific circumstances. Sometimes the expectations are so high that disappointment is inevitable. Other times there simply isn’t enough chemistry. I have had so many clients asking me why things didn’t work out with a particular person. I can usually tell once you hear a bit more about the circumstances. If there is something about the client that is key, I try to explore that. This can include so many different reasons, and many times we have clear cues and clues we ignore during the date or communication. It’s so crucial to learn to discern because the person usually gives some hints. Of course there are those who totally surprise you. This is where you must use your intuition to understand what is happening and how to move on from it, unscathed and with minimum damage.

Oh No Moment
Don’t bad mouth the person for little things
People are looking for different things in romantic relationships; Some are looking for the ultimate twin flame. Some are looking for flings. Some are looking for excitement and freedom to explore their sexuality. Some don’t know what they are looking for, and some are not looking at all in this area of their life. It’s crucial to have boundaries, limits and ideas of what it is you want. There are female and male predators, as well as well-meaning people looking for companionship. Do you know how to discern the difference, the warning signs of someone who can steal from you, lie to you, cheat on you, hit you, or kill you and your loved ones? Just look at the news and forensic files. Too many deaths are related to sexual/romantic relationships. Though some mentally, emotionally unstable people can go under ones radar, it is so important to stay informed. Do a little research. Your happiness and safety are worth it. Dating and seeking love should be an exhilarating, hopeful experience, not depressing and dangerous.

Common sense, being savvy, educated, aware, balanced with caution and openness can lead to a more pleasant experience. Explore the self-healing, self-loving areas first. That way you will be better prepared to attract and receive your ideal mate.
